Napoleon et al. v. Meltwater News Inc.

STATUS: Active

  • Two former Meltwater Growth Executives filed a lawsuit against Meltwater alleging that Meltwater failed to pay proper overtime wages and violated other state law provisions, by misclassifying them as exempt from overtime.  Meltwater denies these allegations and the Court has not made any ruling on the merits of the claims. The parties have entered into a settlement with the intention to avoid further disputes and litigation with the attendant inconvenience and expense. You can review the settlement agreement at www.MeltwaterNewsSettlement.com.

You have received this Notice because Meltwater’s records indicate that you were employed in a covered Growth Executive position (defined above).  And because members of the Settlement Class have a right to know about the proposed Settlement of the class action lawsuit in which they are a part of, and about all of their options, before the Court decides whether to approve the Settlement.

What if I participated in the earlier Meltwater settlement?

If you participated in the earlier Meltwater settlement, and received a notice regarding Napoleon et al. v. Meltwater that means you are eligible to participate in this settlement as well.  That is because you held multiple positions at Meltwater, and your participation in the earlier Meltwater settlement was regarding a different job that you held there.  This settlement is only for Growth Executives.
