Outten & Golden attorneys represent clients in litigation in state and federal courts. Litigation begins when a plaintiff files a lawsuit in court. It can end in a negotiated mutual agreement to terminate the case or in a ruling by a judge or jury for one party or the other.
Litigation is often not the first step in a case. Depending on our client's goals and on the nature of the case, we may suggest attempting to resolve the dispute through negotiation or mediation before going to court. However, when litigation is necessary, we do not hesitate to file a lawsuit. We also defend employees whose employers have sued them in court.
Outten & Golden attorneys have consistently won* rulings for clients in the many areas of employment law that we have litigated, including both individual and class actions.
