The New Era of Transparency and Workplace Disclosures

The pressure has never been greater on employers to disclose pay and
workforce data, declare pay equity and demonstrate substantive progress
towards enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion. Joining the call from
employees and unions for more transparency, activist shareholders are
making increased demands and have filed lawsuits alleging corporations
fell short of DEI and pay equity commitments. At the same time, more
states and cities are passing unprecedented laws that require employers
to affirmatively disclose information about compensation and promotions.
Panelists will provide an overview of the various types of disclosure
obligations and discuss best practices, whether the disclosure movement
has been successful in advancing pay and workplace equity, and what the
unintended consequences have been.
