Call him Bobby Flayed. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay faces a court grilling over alleged labor-law violations at his Southwestern-style restaurants.
Three waiters at Flay’s Bar Americain in Midtown claim in court papers that they’ve been cheated out of wages, overtime and their fair share of tips.
The suit in Manhattan federal court seeks to cover staffers employed since 2003 at the Food Network star chef’s other city eateries – the downtown Mesa Grill NYC and the now-defunct Bolo Bar & Restaurant. “We believe that the practices are the same there,” said lawyer Justin M. Swartz, who filed the case.
