Outten & Golden recently secured a $4.6 million settlement for sales representatives at Odoo, Inc., a global provider of business management software.

According to the complaint, filed on behalf of three employees on July 27, 2023, Odoo misclassified sales representatives as exempt from overtime requirements. Specifically, the employees alleged that they performed sales duties that didn’t qualify for an exemption, and should have been paid overtime when they worked long hours to meet their productivity goals.

The parties litigated the case for nearly two years before agreeing to a settlement. On December 12, 2024, U.S. Magistrate Judge Lisa J. Cisneros granted final approval an agreement, which provides an average payment of $4,825 to 599 affected employees.

Outten & Golden attorneys Melissa Lardo Stewart and Molly Frandsen represented Odoo’s affected sales representatives. The case is Kayed v. Odoo, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
